Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard:

Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard provides a durable, abrasion-resistant matte finish for optimal protection against abrasion, UV rays, dye transfer and discoloration. With added BioCote® antimicrobial technology, it kills 99.9% of bacteria on treated surfaces.

Important for chair cushions and other loaded parts, it provides friction protection. The anti-stain feature is ideal for light-colored leather prone to staining from dark fabrics such as indigo jeans. L1 guarantees durability of 3 to 12 months, depending on wear. Avoid food products that are not absorbed by modern automotive leather and shorten the finish.

How do I use Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard?

Preparation:

1. Clean the leather with Gtechniq Tri-Clean Interior Cleaner.
2. Provide a well-ventilated room with a temperature above 5°C.
3. Wear protective nitrile gloves during use.
4. Avoid application in direct sunlight.
5. Make sure the surface is free of oils, silicones, conditioners and dressings.
6. Make sure the surfaces are dry and clean.

Application:

1. Spray Leather Guard on the Gtechniq Soft Applicator.
2. Spread the coating evenly over the surface, working one section at a time.
3. Start with the seat surface and then the back surface.
4. Repeat step 2 for the entire interior.
5. Remove excess product within 1-2 minutes with a light swipe of a microfiber cloth, as adhesion begins immediately upon contact.
6. Repeat the process after an hour for best results.
7. Check thoroughly all coated sections after application and level if necessary with a microfiber cloth.
8. After application, leave the coating untouched for 8 hours to cure completely.
